Is the movie"Hellboy" (2004)is it any good? Who stars in it? Is it worth buying on DVD? What was the plot of this movie? Was it a good movie or bad movie? Who all stars in this movie ? Did it win any awards or anything? How well did it do with movie critics and moviegoers? Is it worth buying on DVD for $10? Is there any nudity, swearing or violence in it? Please give me your opinions on this movie, not links to where to watch it for free.
Thank You.
Personnally..... I thought it sucked...... big time.
but other opinions vary.
why would you buy a movie on DVD is you never seen it?
starred..... Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Rupert Evans, John Hurt, Jeffrey Tambor, Karel Roden, Doug Jones, Corey Johnson
reviews.......
It's not very good, .....
Painful to watch. Catwoman & Hellboy the one two punch of the "B" rated superheor flicks.......
worst movie ever!
Ron Pearlman is a very good character actor. He has used his rugged facial features to land many roles that only he seemed physically capable of portraying. Hellboy is a quality movie. Very fun and entertaining. Slow and with a less than impressive ending but overall a good movie. Ron Pearlman paid his dues and deserved a lead role. It's nice to see the movie wasn't a piece of crap.
I wouldn't recommend this movie....

I wouldn’t pay 2.00 for it.
Ron Perlman… Hellboy
John Hurt… Trevor ‘Broom’ Bruttenholm
Selma Blair… Liz Sherman
Rupert Evans… John Myers
Karel Roden… Grigori Rasputin
Jeffrey Tambor… Tom Manning
They play it on FX all the time. If you have that channel, you might watch it.
A demon, raised from infancy after being conjured by and rescued from the Nazis, grows up to become a defender against the forces of darkness
It’s not that good.

It’s pretty good…I myself wouldn’t buy it. My boyfriend likes it alot…a cool character. As far as comic book stuff, Sin City is the best! We bought that one. Here’s more info.:

i really like that movie. I’m not familiar with the comic but its Supernatural with action and a bit comedic and yet not corny. And there is elements of history in it some ficticious/ some real. They say "hell" and "damn" but thats it, no nudity. there is fighting and people get killed. No bleeding wounds tho. They use blood in a ceremony but nobody gets bloodied up.
I thought it was great. I love supernatural/other dimension/good&evil flicks tho. I cant wait til two comes out. i would buy it for ten. but you can get it on Half.com for $7 including shipping. check it out.

First let me say that I am a VERY forgiving moviegoer. I’m not one of these people that dumps all over 99% of all movies that are out there out of some warped sense of artistic superiority mixed with jealousy.
I could count the movies I’ve walked out of on one hand. Seriously.
And I thought "Hellboy" was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, bar none.
I couldn’t stay awake for the life of me.
Its worldwide gross was 99M, budget was 66M. Not that great. Yet it still gets a sequel.
Compare this with 30 Days Of Night (slightly different genre, I know), which for my money was a SUPERIOR film. It cost 30M, and made 74M worldwide–over TWICE its budget–and yet any plans for a sequel appear dead.
The lack of anything even remotely resembling a coherent–much less compelling–story in Hellboy made this borefest more of a sleep-aid than a film.
I say, even if were free it would not be worth your time.
